Travelin' Beauty: How to wear a bit of makeup even you've only got 90 seconds to get ready

ANY AND ALL RECOMMENDATIONS ARE MINE AND MINE ALONE. NO ONE IS PAYING ME fOR THESE HOT SPORTS OPINIONS.

Hello, Voyagers!

These are some of my favorite travel beauty tips. Everything I recommend is long-lasting, takes up no room in your little makeup bag, and is easy to apply.

Before you leave for a long trip, get a brow and lash tint. This will save you so much time. But this post is assuming you didn’t do that and gotta apply the products yourself.

You know, some people, I've heard tell, are opposed to wearing makeup while on vacation. (WTF?!, you're thinking. I KNOW!!!!) Anyhoo, I, myself, am against that, #obvs. I know by now we've all got Beautycam, but, c'mon, if you're a makeup-wearer at home, be one abroad! Basic makeup is something you won’t regret doing, because you’re going to want to look good in photos, and you’re going to want to feel good when you go to that upscale restaurant for a cocktail.

And sometimes you’re going to want to be seen without sunglasses.

Ya got 6 minutes? Then you got time for these items: Mascara, brow color, waterproof eyeliner, blush & bronzer, a light foundation with SPF (powder foundation from Bare Minerals is clutch if you’re heading to a humid climate), and setting spray.

I am recently loving Anastasia’s mascara. It maximizes your lashes and lasts and lasts. And a lip stain that you only have to reapply once or twice during the day is a MUST. I dig this one from Stila.

If you have <5 minutes, forget the brow color, and leave out the blush.

you don’t need to bring all 55 glosses.

<3 minutes means using mascara as eyeliner that you can blend under your eyes, brow color, bronzer, tinted spf or concealer & lip stain.

<90 seconds means 4 items: mascara, bronzer, tinted spf/concealer & lip stain.

<30 seconds means 3 items: tinted spf/concealer, lip color…and sunglasses! (Bring the mascara with you and apply it as soon as you find a mirror!)

Finally, if you know you’ll have practically zero time to get ready in the morning, then the night before, get out your makeup and pre-apply your products to their respective brushes. That’ll save you a good 90 seconds!

Now, go forth. Make chic happen.
