*veracious \vəˈrAshush\ (adjective): Regarding ruthfulness; accuracy, and authenticity, especially from one who speaks fluent snark. (I made up that last part.)

Who am I?

A Texas-born Communication Studies professor turned Montana hiking enthusiast, outdoorsy yet unapologetic glittery girl*, voracious world traveler, giver of insightful relationship & life guidance, offerer of informed (or, at least, entertaining) opinions on any topic, and grateful inhabitant of a surprising life.

What’s this blog all about?

My obsessions in life are as follows:

1. My cat, Harper.

2 Traveling the world in style with my cat, Harper (and my husband).

3. Helping others improve their relationships.

Join me, won’t you?

To sum up, with gerunds: Getting a Bachelor’s degree in English Literature and Language (pretty sexy huh? I geek out with this one. WTF is a gerund?, you’re asking yourself, right?!) and a Master’s degree in Communication Studies…creating a brand-new approach to Interpersonal Communication instruction…earning a Criminology master’s at University of Cambridge…launching this blog, a true crime comedy podcast, AND the Interpersonal Newsletter, all while traveling the world. (Also, because I know what a gerund is.)

*glittery girl:

Those who “aren’t necessarily the prettiest but decorate themselves...like Christmas trees, with dangling earrings, jingling bangles & delicate, pointless scarves.”

Also, one who is as likely to hike with gloss on her lips as bear spray on her hip. (I made up that last part.)
