Preventing Sexual Assault: A How-to Guide for Guys Part 2 (AKA Be the Good Guy)

You can look, but that’s about it, bro.

Hello, fellow (Guy) Voyagers!

This post is a continuation of my request, Don’t be a Creeper. Please read that post first. I’ll wait…

Welcome back. So, let’s jump right in. In fact, this won’t take long. Aren’t we all tired of the “what’s a guy supposed to do now?” backlash against #metoo? I mean, that assinine mentality even graced the cover of Esquire. Come on, you know what to do. Why? Because you know what to NOT do, bruh.

For instance, let us please start with this brilliant rape prevention checklist for men from 9gag.com:

As the cartoon “What If We Treated All Consent Like Society Treats Sexual Consent? points out, consent is consent. In all contexts. For example, what if borrowing a car is like sex:

After a guy borrowed her car once, she finds him taking her car again & asks,“What are you doing?” so he says, “Borrowing your car. You said I could.” Her response: “You can’t take my car whenever you want it!” His answer? “That’s bulls**t. You said I could have it once so I should be able to have it all the time.” Brilliant.

Finally, one of my favorite PSA’s of all time. Show it to every single girl, boy, man, woman you know. Turn sound on. And wait till the end.
